Zeal

A boyfriend once asked his girl, how much does she loves him. She said it's relative to the amount of knowing and loving God.             

Knowing without loving is useless. And if you love him enough. You will definitely want to be working for him. What could be a better relationship between the couple than to work for the creator and their love being directly proportional to the hate and love for him.

But it doesn't happen over night. Shaykh Ibrahim writes in one of his booklet called Stars of the Road that to work for God one requires Zeal but the Zeal isn't important for everyone only the chosen few are important to commit what is important to God. The rest of the people are free to lead their lives as they desire.

Zeal also has something to do with the age. A lot of the people start losing themselves as they grow. May be a lot, may be the chosen few know that the Prophet was 19 years of age when He [SAW] married Ayesha*. They kept asking his age, turned out to be he's around, about her age and Abu Bakr [R] had to give his daughter to prove the point and to shut their lip service.


And he taught and fought like a 19 year old all his life with Courage and Valor.



[*] When Asma bint Abi Bakr [R] got married, she was 20 years of age. And Ayesha was 2 years younger then her. Ask any Shaykh ul Hadith to show you the relevant Ahadiths from Bukhari.
